It's all about personal preference what you find to be the more important damage type(s). Just one damage type is more/less effective against specific enemies, regardless of their level. There is no best, that's the idea about balancing. Toxic Ancients' auras give massive damage reduction vs Gas damage, and Disruptor Ancients' auras negate the Gas AoE proc. They usually will choose Fire, since it does great damage to Infested and has a damage boost over the heavy gunners, but Cold can help as well against void enemies since it can slow them down.ĭon't use Gas against infested. Corrosive damage has a boost against the Ancient Infested and the majority of enemies in the Void. Magnetic and Toxic are best against corpus, since magnetic can proc and reduce their shield capacity by 75%. It does more damage to the heavily armored guys (Bombard and Napalm). Radiation and Viral do more damage overall against Grineer, but if you can only slot one type, go with Radiation. Impact is best against Corpus due to shields having a vulnerability to it.
